Popular Fifth-Gen Idol Sniping At His Own Fans Spark Massive Backlash

Recently, RIIZE’s Anton received backlash for his response to a fan who attended a public event.

The event in question was the 2026 Korea Cable TV awards, where Anton’s mother, actress Shim Hye Jin, would be attending.

An Anton fan was seen attending the event and posting videos of the actress online.

However, Anton left a message on Bubble about the videos, which ended up making the fan delete the videos.

As a result, the fan account faced attacks from other fans and ended up posting an apology.

I am writing this to avoid misunderstanding. It was an official schedule, and other nominee fandoms were also there. It wasn’t even that many, about 1x or so. Everyone stood in line when filming, and I was the only one there as a Hyejin fan. The organizers told me she should come before 4 PM, so she came first. I did not call out her name or tell her I was a fan when filming. Nothing happened in that short 1-2 minutes. I was there just as a fan and nothing else. The organizers were even shocked to see a fan there and asked if I watched the drama. I didn’t even tell her directly that I was a fan.

They also reposted the original video to prove that they only filmed two videos and there was no other sound than the organizers. They also promised to delete the videos and requested to stop any more rumors.

However, netizens criticized Anton, stating that his mother was also a celebrity and that he was acting overboard over the situation.
