Recently, a preview of the upcoming episode for tvN’s You Quiz on the Block gained attention regarding the changed appearance of actress Moon Geun Young.

In the clip, she shared her thoughts on turning 40 and returning to the screen after recovering from a rare disease.

A few years back, she was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome, revealing she had to undergo emergency surgery.

I had to go through emergency surgery because the ‘golden time’ had already passed, and necrosis could begin. I heard that I told my mom, ‘I’m so happy that I can finally rest in peace’.

Meanwhile, she revealed her unchanged cheerful and lively personality and stated, “I don’t know if my mind has become more relaxed as my body has gotten bigger, but my forties are quite exciting.”

She was diagnosed with the disease while performing in the play Romeo and Juliet in 2017, and endured a long battle with the disease, undergoing four surgeries.
