HYBE Girl Group Member Receives Major Ridicule Over Dancing Skills
KATSEYE member Lara is yet again at the center of major criticism— this time over a dance video.
Lara recently shared an original dance routine to Beyoncé’s “Sandcastles” on her social media, triggering intense reactions.
The comments under Lara’s video criticized her massively for failing to capture the essence of a painful song like “Sandcastles,” and representing the lyrics with sexy dance moves instead.
Netizens on X also tore into Lara, not only criticizing her for the dance, but also accusing her of trying to build an image as the “Beyoncé of the group.”
and if i say the Lara dance video to Sandcastles feeds into the black stereotypes of over sexualization and not taking our pain seriously. and the sexy/sensual dance cover to a song that Beyoncé wrote about being cheated on completely shows that. pic.twitter.com/n1yVsvwjly
