BTS’s Jimin Torn Apart For “Shockingly Lip Syncing” Even During Concert Rehearsals

“How bad of a singer are you…”

BTS have recently kicked off their ARIRANG world tour, quite soon after the release of their new studio album of the same name.

The album marked their return after a lengthy four-year hiatus, and so does the tour. As expected, the group has been under intense public scrutiny since their comeback.

The latest backlash is aimed at Jimin, after a rehearsal clip went viral among K-Pop fans.

In the video, fans pointed out that a strong backing track can be heard, with his voice still present even when the microphone is not close to his mouth. The suggestion instantly sparked accusations of lip syncing, with many arguing that he was not singing live, even during the practice run.

International fans slammed Jimin, and the criticism gained thousands of likes.

Korean netizens also joined the criticism, with similar reactions focusing on the use of AR tracks and how much of the vocal performance is actually live. Some even pointed out that fans usually pay so much more to participate in a soundcheck, making it even more shocking that Jimin wouldn’t sing live.

Not even realizing it’s his part because HYBE “carefully tuned” the LR for them lol. They’re so dumb they can’t even properly lip-sync or act badly.

Is turning on AR and then quietly singing backing vocals like a mosquito voice supposed to count as live? lol What even is that vocal range supposed to be? lol The AR on Run BTS was on another level though, they just cranked the volume all the way up.

Some fans are out here saying he’s “achieved enlightenment” in singing, but honestly he only looks like the number one in the lip-syncing industry. Shouldn’t they be refunding the fans who paid extra to get into soundcheck?
